Newcastle provide Alexander Isak injury update before Luton

Newcastle secured a shock 3-1 away win on Tuesday vs an Aston Villa side who were previously unbeaten in 17 at home.

The Magpies will be looking to continue that form into the weekend when they face Luton. Back Newcastle to win at 2/5 with bet365.

Newcastle to beat Luton

Alexander Isak injury update

Ahead of the game, Newcastle assistant Jason Tindall spoke to the media on Friday as Eddie Howe was unwell.

When speaking to the press, Tindall provided an update on striker Alexander Isak, who went off injured during the Magpies’ aforementioned drubbing of Aston Villa in midweek.

And in a boost for Newcastle, it looks as though the Swede could be fit to feature this weekend. Tindall confirmed Isak (groin) has improved this week and has a “chance” for Luton.

Elsewhere, Harvey Barnes (foot) has “potential” to be involved this weekend, while Callum Wilson (calf) is close to a return but question marks remain over his ability to feature vs Luton.
