Chelsea slumped to yet another defeat on the weekend, at home to newly promoted Bournemouth no less, and as such, talk of Jose Mourinho being axed has reached an all-time high.

Having secured the Premier League title last season at a canter no one could have predicted things would turn so sour at Stamford Bridge in 2015/16.

The West London side are pretty much out of the title race and could struggle to even secure a top four finish at this rate.

Chelsea sit in 14th place in the table, some 14 points off a Champions League qualification spot, and the pressure is mounting on the ‘Special One’

Here are the current top five front-runners to take over from Mourinho as Chelsea boss, odds courtesy of Sky Bet.

Brendan Rodgers 14/1 with SkyBet

Axed by Liverpool in October, the 42-year-old Northern Irishman has previously served as both youth and reserve team coach and could be a solid long-term replacment for Blues boss Mourinho.

Pep Guardiola 8/1 with SkyBet

Former Barcelona boss has long been linked with a move to manage in the Premier League though one wonders quite why Guardiola would leave Bayern Munich at this stage.

Fabio Capello 7/1 with SkyBet

Veteran Italian finds himself without a job having been fired as Russian national team boss back in July.

Diego Simeone 5/1 with SkyBet

Hugely talented coach who has led Atletico Madrid to both La Liga and Europa League triumphs, could be the logical fresh faced choice to punt for.

Carlo Ancelotti 7/2 with SkyBet

The experienced Italian previously took charge at Stamford Bridge from 2009 until 2011 and still retains a good relationship with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovch.
