NHL: 16/1 Tuesday Acca - February 22, 2022

The NHL rolls forward this week and on Tuesday night, we have six games on the slate.

From those, we have combined four to create our 16/1 NHL acca for Tuesday night.

  • St Louis Blues -1.5 (@ Philadelphia)
  • Minnesota Wild -1.5 (@ Ottawa)
  • Florida Panthers -1.5 (v Nashville)
  • New York Islanders money line (@ Seattle)

St Louis Blues -1.5 (@ Philadelphia)

The Blues head into Philly 6-3-1 from their last 10 as they continue to fight it out for the playoff spots over in the Western Conference. They’ve not played since Saturday, so come here refreshed and scored a big win over Toronto that night, in a game they played well in.

The Flyers on the other hand, are struggling. They have just two wins from their last 10, and on top of that, they played and were beaten by Carolina last night. This is a team low on confidence, tired from played last night, and one that the Blues can take advantage of to kick start our Tuesday acca.

Minnesota Wild -1.5 (@ Ottawa)

Credit to Ottawa, they have improved since the start of the season, but despite that, they are still well short of being a playoff team. When up against the other lower teams, the Sens are capable of winning, but when one of the bigger teams takes them on, they often come up a little short.

The Minnesota Wild are chasing down Colorado in the Central Division, and have won seven of their last 10 games as they continue to play well. With games in hand they need to be winning, the Wild will be pushing hard and we fancy them to come out on top in this one.

Florida Panthers -1.5 (v Nashville)

Top of the Atlantic Division and flying with eight wins from their last 10 games, Florida is not an easy task for anyone right now. The Predators are in the playoff hunt out west. but have lost their last four straight games, and have slipped away from the big boys.

With the outdoor game coming up this weekend, there is a feeling that Nashville have taken their eye off the ball a little, you certainly don’t want to do that when coming up against Florida, and we like the Panthers to make them pay again here.

New York Islanders money line (@ Seattle)

Fresh off the back of a loss to their rivals, the Vancouver Canucks, Seattle continue to struggle in their maiden NHL season. The Kraken have now lost four in a row, and seven of their last 10 games as they sit rooted to the bottom of the Pacific Division.

The New York Islanders have been one of the biggest disappointments of the season themselves, but are playing a little bit better now. Although on the road, with Seattle playing last night away from home, both have had to travel here, and of course, after playing, Seattle will be the tired team in this one.

To round off the acca, we are going with the Islanders to grind this one out against a tired Seattle team.
