Jack Grealish injury blow

It was not all good news for Manchester City, though, as the Sky Blues have been dealt a fresh injury blow.

Jack Grealish, who was starting his first game since limping off in City’s win against Copenhagen two weeks ago with a muscle injury, suffered a groin injury in Manchester City’s FA Cup victory over Luton, Pep Guardiola has confirmed.

Assessing Grealish’ injury at Luton, Guardiola stated post-match: “I didn’t speak to doctors but I think he complained a bit about the groin. Maybe a little bit similar. He felt really good but unfortunately was injured again at the beginning of the game.

“It’s been a tough season for him, has to recover well and help us when he’s able to come back.”
