The White Eagles take on Slovakia on Friday before taking to the pitch to face the Irish and head coach Adam Nawalka will be loooking for a good performance from his players. Nawalka is a new appointment to replace Waldemar Fornalik and has already rung the changes with no less than seven first time call-ups to his Poland squad, so it will be interesting to see how they line up on Tuesday.
Republic of Ireland are also under new management and will be looking to build for future tournaments after a poor showing in World Cup qualification. The Boys in Green could only manage fourth place in Group C and new head coach Martin O’Neill will be looking to add a competitive edge to his sides game before the next tournament begins. Barring goalkeeper Rob Elliot, all of the players named in Ireland’s squad have previously played for their country hinting that O’Neill is happy with the personnel and may look to adopt a fresh tactical approach to improve results.
