Raheem Sterling Brings Sergio Agüero Down To Earth With Brutal Tweet

Sergio Agüero made history for Manchester City twice on Sunday. His hat-trick in the stunning 6-0 win over Chelsea saw him equal Alan Shearer’s record of 11 in the Premier League, while he also became the club’s top league scorer. But that didn’t stop Raheem Sterling brutally trolling to the Argentine.

It was the biggest defeat of Chelsea’s recent history, only beating their last away game when they lost 4-0 at Bournemouth.  Maurizio Sarri’s future is in serious doubt and he admitted after the game that his job is always at risk, while he didn’t see “his football” at the Etihad Stadium.

Fans have lambasted his lack of a plan B, but Sarri has really struggled to motivate the team. Champions League qualification is now in serious doubt, with Arsenal and Manchester United also in the race for fourth place.

City’s day could hardly have been better, though, with Agüero netting three and Sterling grabbing a brace. But before scoring his first, a superb long-range effort, Agüero missed an open goal from yards out.

Sterling didn’t let him forget it, pointing it out as a terrible miss before referencing the fact he has been guilty of similar in the past. Fans also didn’t hold back as they threw shade at the England international.

Now City are top of the table, but it was the manner of the performance that has convinced many that they will edge out Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title.

The Reds won on Saturday, beating Bournemouth 3-0 at Anfield, with Mohamed Salah again key to the result. But there are doubts that anyone can compete with Pep Guardiola’s side when they are at their best. Agüero has really taken advantage of Harry Kane’s injury to take the initiative in the race for the Golden Boot.

But he could have had one more goal, and Sterling entertained fans with his response to it. On the pitch, City will soon turn their attention to a Champions League clash with Schalke next week. They will also face Chelsea again in the Carabao Cup final in a couple of weeks.
