Rasmus Hojlund defends ‘world class’ Marcus Rashford after Manchester United struggles

Summer signing Rasmus Hojlund is adamant that Marcus Rashford will return to top form for Manchester United in the near future.

Hojlund praises Rashford

Marcus Rashford had arguably his best-ever season in a Manchester United shirt during 2022/23.

However, the forward’s form has fallen off a cliff so far this term, with just one goal in 10 outings across all competitions.

Despite his struggles, Rasmus Hojlund is convinced that Rashford has what it takes to get out of this rut and revealed he has looked up to the Englishman since watching him break out at Manchester United:

“I really like playing with him,” Hojlund is quoted as telling Danish newspaper Tipsbladet. “He is a world class player. I enjoy playing with him.

“He’s a player I’ve looked up to, even though he’s only a few years older than me. He has done well since he came in as a 19-year-old and scored against Midtjylland. I think he has been a great player ever since, and it is of course great that we are teammates today.”
