Football was shocked for a while this week when Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez appeared to announce his retirement via his Facebook page – but it later emerged he was hacked.

The post came out of the blue, stating that after discussions with different doctors, he was taking the decision to walk away from football. Understandably, with no prior warning, people were bemused by the development.
But it was later said that Mahrez was not the man behind the message and that particular social media page had been compromised.
Leicester fans will have breathed a collective sigh of relief with this news, because the Algerian is finding his best form again after appearing to strike in the wake of a failed move to Manchester City in January.
It was his 97th minute free kick that snatched a late point against Bournemouth last week.
