Rugby League: Super League Predictor Round Two - February 17-20

Warrington Wolves v Castleford Tigers

This game is a big deal for Daryl Powell as the Warrington boss faces the club he spent the past eight and a half years fashioning into a respected force.

Powell has admitted he might get booed by the visiting Castleford fans on Thursday but their shame will be in failing acknowledge the undeniable progress he presided over.

Either way, Powell should have the last laugh, so back the big-spending Wolves to make it two wins out of two at 1/3 with BetVictor.

Predicted score: Warrington to win by 1-12 points at 11/5 with Betfred

Wigan Warriors v Leeds Rhinos

Wigan won emphatically at Hull Kingston Rovers in their opening game last weekend and will be bubbling with confidence here.

Leeds performed admirably in defeat to Warrington but injuries and suspensions are already piling up for Richard Agar’s men.

Blake Austin should make his debut, but back the Warriors to edge this heavyweight clash at 8/15 with Paddy Power

Predicted score: Wigan to win (-4 on the handicap) at 10/11 with Paddy Power

Hull FC v St Helens

Both sides enjoyed winning starts to the season last weekend but can Hull FC match the pace, power and skill of the defending champions?

The clash is the second game to be played on Channel 4 and the draw of watching St Helens on terrestrial should ensure another decent television audience.

Saints should be too good for Hull, so back them to win at 2/9 with Paddy Power.

Predicted score: St Helens to win by between 1 and 12 points at 9/5 with Paddy Power.

Huddersfield Giants v Hull Kingston Rovers

This is a difficult one to call as Huddersfield stuffed newly-promoted Toulouse in France last weekend to open their campaign in style.

Hull KR were beaten at home by Wigan and will be desperate to bonce back in West Yorkshire.

With the energy and self-belief coursing through the Giants’ veins, back them to secure a home win at 8/13 with Betfred.

Predicted score: Huddersfield to win (-4 on the handicap) at 10/11 with Paddy Power

Catalans Dragons v Wakefield Trinity

On paper this is perhaps the easiest game of the round to predict – star-studded Catalans at home to perennial strugglers Wakefield.

The Dragons were a distinct second-best at St Helens last Thursday and they need to respond with a win in their first home game.

Back them to take the victory at 1/10 with Paddy Power.

Predicted score: Catalans to win by 1 to 12 points at 5/2 with Paddy Power.

Salford Red Devils v Toulouse

On the evidence of their opening-day win at Castleford, Salford could be a surprise package this season.

In Marc Sneyd, the Red Devils have a player whose educated left boot could steer them to victory in tight games with his expert goalkeeping.

Toulouse conceded 42 points at home to Huddersfield last weekend, so back Salford to pile on the misery here at 1/14 with Paddy Power.

Predicted score: Salford to win by 1 to 12 points at 11/4 with Paddy Power
