Scottish Premiership Preview: Motherwell v Celtic

Celtic head to Motherwell this afternoon looking to build on Wednesday’s huge result against Rangers.

The Hoops now top the Scottish Premiership table and will be going all out for a victory at Fir Park today to extend their lead, if only for a couple of hours.

Ange Postecoglou’s side blew Rangers way at Celtic Park, and it’s likely to be a similar story here against a Well side that they’ve defeated on the last 10 occasions.

At odds of 1/3, a Celtic victory doesn’t offer much betting value, but Celtic corners look a tasty angle once again.

I’ve banged the drum about Celtic and corners for several weeks now, with the Hoops regularly racking up double digits alone, including 10 against Rangers midweek.

Over 8.5 Celtic corners this afternoon is 5/4 with Betfair, but at slightly larger odds, I’m siding with over 4 Celtic corners in the first half at 6/4.

Celtic’s last three league matches have seen them hit 5, 8, and 5 corners in the first half.

The new King of Glasgow.

Welcome, Reo Hatate ??

And I’m also happy to take Reo Hatate to score again this afternoon.

Since his arrival last month, the Japanese midfielder has exploded onto the Scottish scene, scoring three goals and an assist in his previous three matches, including a double against Rangers.

He’s 7/2 with Paddy Power to score again this afternoon, and that looks an excellent price for a player in red-hot form.
