Fulham face a trip up north this weekend to take on Sheffield United in a Premier League meeting on October 7.
The Cottagers have struggled to replicate their 2022/23 form so far this season, winning two, drawing two and losing three. However, they are in a much better state than Sheffield United, who are one of just two sides yet to win a Premier League game this term.
Struggling Sheffield
With seven games gone, Sheffield United have won zero, drawn one and lost six, all while conceding 19 goals and scoring just five.
This puts them on course to match or even surpass the lowest-ever points total garnered by one team in a Premier League season. Derby County secured just 11 points during the 2007/08 campaign to finish dead bottom of the division. But even the Rams had four points after seven games of their ill-fated season.
Sheffield United have also faced 156 shots in the Premier League this season (22.3 per game), which is more than any other side. The Blades are currently the only team on record (since 2003/04) to have faced more than 20 shots per game across a Premier League campaign.
This is excellent news for Fulham, who have struggled for goals somewhat this term but have already had to face the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Brentford.
Raul Jimenez is Fulham’s main no.9 this term and he can be backed at 7/4 to score anytime vs Sheffield United with bet365.
