Goals from Paul Pogba and Chris Smalling sealed a stunning second half comeback from the Red Devils, who were staring down the barrel of handing the title to their most bitter rivals having been 2-0 down.
Many pundits remarked that Jose Mourinho’s men showed a level of heart not seen since Ferguson retired in 2013, and United fans were pleased to see the Scot still had an apparent disregard for their city rivals.
City are still overwhelming favourites to win the league, with even Mourinho admitting the result only delays the inevitable, but they are unlikely to win it next weekend because they play before United.
