Thibaut Courtois Takes Extreme Measures To Force Real Madrid Move

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has made no secret of his desire to move to Real Madrid, and he has gone to extreme measures in order to force through a deal this summer.

The Belgium goalkeeper, who shone for his country as they secured third place at the World Cup, has been at Chelsea since 2011. But after a three-year-loan spell at Atlético Madrid, he settled in Spain and now wants to return to be closer to his family.

Now, Courtois has refused to return to training at Chelsea, having been expected back alongside Eden Hazard, another Belgian World Cup hero who has suggested he may be open to leaving, on Monday.

Bizarrely, a photograph emerged of Courtois in a Spar newsagents in Tenerife, which may give the Blues a lead on where he is currently. His contract runs out next summer, and Real Madrid are only willing to pay £32million to seal the deal now as they can get him for free in a year.
