Tottenham star given return date

Ahead of the clash with the Sky Blues, an injured Tottenham star has been handed a return date.

Giovani Lo Celso will miss Friday’s FA Cup clash against Manchester City but he is closing in on a return and is targeting a comeback against Brentford next week.

The Argentine sat out the aforementioned 2-2 draw at Manchester United after sustaining a minor muscle injury against Burnley at the start of the month but should be back in action vs the Bees.

Ange Postecoglou also hopes to have James Maddison back from injury when Spurs host City as the Lilywhites look to get their top-four push back on track.

Tottenham dominated the Premier League early in the campaign but a plethora of injury issues saw their form dip and them slip down to 5th in the table. But they are still only three points off 4th as they prepare to welcome back several key players.
