Danny Rose's Spurs Career Could Be Over After This UCL Reaction

Despite Tottenham overcoming Apoel Nicosia 3-0 to reach the Champions League last 16, defender Danny Rose appeared to be unhappy at being substituted early on in the clash.

The Spurs left back was taken off by manager Mauricio Pochettino after just half an hour of action, having sustained a cut over his eye.

This occurred following a previous tussle with Apoel opponent Roland Sallai, forcing the England star to hit the showers early.

Argentine boss Pochettino replaced Rose with young full back Kyle Walker-Peters.

Rose was seemingly furious with the decision and reportedly stormed down the tunnel afterwards.

The England international wideman was believed to have needed five stitches after the incident which left him with a nasty gash.

Pochettino spoke in light of his exchange with Rose, claiming his decision to take him off was only for the wellbeing of his player.

“Never the player is happy when they are going out,” he stated.

“He was with a big cut and the doctors say he need a stitch and it was impossible to follow the play.”

Miffed defender Rose has long been linked with a departure from the club and this incident has only added further fuel to that speculation, with Manchester United linked with his services.
