Tottenham’s unwanted record

Tottenham went 2-1 up vs Everton in the 41st minute on Saturday after Richarlison scored a brace vs his former club.

But just as Spurs looked to see out a 2-1 win, Jarrad Branthwaite scored a 94th-minute equaliser to rescue Everton a point.

Tottenham have now conceded eight goals in the 90th minute this season, their most in a single Premier League campaign and the most of any side in the division this term.

On his side not being able to kill off the game, Ange Postecoglou said post-match: “Yeah, we needed another goal because what was going to happen in the last 10 minutes was almost inevitable regardless of what you do that you’re going to be under pressure here.

“That’s why we needed a little bit of a buffer. We had the opportunities, Pickford pulled off some good saves to be fair so they kind of kept them in the game. It’s just something we’ve got to take on the chin and move on.”
