Virgil Van Dijk Criticises Liverpool For Poor Champions League Form

Virgil van Dijk has publicly criticised his Liverpool teammates ahead of their crucial Champions League clash with Napoli on Tuesday.

The Reds need to win at Anfield to stand a chance of progression, but neither goal difference or head-to-head against the Italians are in their favour. They will need a favour from Red Star Belgrade, who face PSG at the same time.

Astonishingly, van Dijk has ripped into his side, claiming they only have themselves to blame for not being in a better position.

Defeat in Paris cost them badly two weeks ago, as did a loss at Red Star, but Jürgen Klopp will be confident they can still progress having got to the top of the Premier League at the weekend.

Mohamed Salah bagged a hat trick in a 4-0 win at Bournemouth to help the Reds leapfrog Manchester City, who then went on to lose at Chelsea.
