Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has been caught mocking his old rival Lionel Messi, after a video emerged of him talking to one of the mascots before the weekend’s clash with Deportivo la Coruña.
Los Blancos ran out 7-1 winners, with Ronaldo netting a brace, but their return to form does not look like reigniting their LaLiga title defence, with a 19-point gap to Messi’s Barcelona.
In the Santiago Bernabeu tunnel, Ronaldo was talking to one of the children who would be leading the team out. He turned to the 32-year-old and said: “I think you’re the best in the world, with Messi.”
But before he could finish what he was saying, Ronaldo jumped in and replied: “(Messi) is bad.”
Both Ronaldo and Messi have won five Ballon d’Ors each over the last decade. The Barça star will be made favourite for a sixth this year going by his early form.
