West Ham are back in action on Saturday with an away trip to Burnley. The Hammers head into the game on the back of picking up their first win in five outings.
While West Ham’s current form is nothing to write home about, Burnley’s is shocking. Vincent Kompany’s side are bottom of the Premier League having lost five in a row. Back West Ham to beat Burnley on Saturday at 19/20 with bet365.
West Ham given injury boost
The international break has not been too kind to West Ham. Michail Antonio limped off during Jamaica’s 2-1 defeat by Canada in the first leg of their Nations League quarter-final recently.
Jarrod Bowen also returned to West Ham after a minor knee issue ruled him out of England’s trip to Skopje for their final Euro 2024 qualifier against North Macedonia on Monday.
It was initially reported that Antonio had suffered a hamstring injury before it was claimed that the issue is with his knee, and there were fears he could be set for a spell on the sidelines.
While Bowen’s injury did not seem too bad, Antonio did look set to be out for a lengthy period. However, West Ham have been dealt a major boost after scans revealed the knee injury picked up by Antonio is not as serious as first feared.
There were concerns that a serious rupture could see the forward ruled out until well into the New Year. But Antonio is expected to return within the next month after medical assessments by club staff found only a strain.
