West Ham injury blows

As well as being forced into an FA Cup replay, West Ham also suffered a number of injury blows over the weekend.

Lucas Paqueta went off injured after just 10 minutes vs Bristol City followed by defender Konstantinos Mavropanos before the break.

And West Ham’s misery was then complete when top scorer Bowen went down in agony with what looked like a very sore ankle injury right at the end of the game.

Speaking on West Ham’s website after the game, Moyes confirmed the injuries and revealed Vladimir Coufal has also suffered a knock after some tough challenges.

“The injuries happened and it’s football and you have to live with it when it happens,” Moyes said.

“You will pick up injuries and you have to deal with it. We’ve been quite fortunate this season as we’ve not picked up too many, but today we just felt as if we had one or two injuries.

“Vladimír (Coufal) was also stunned by a couple of challenges, but we’ll check them and hopefully they’ll be OK. We had a few knocks and bruises, but that’s what happens this time of year.”
