After beating Huddersfield Town in the 3rd round earlier this month, Manchester City are set to continue their defence of the FA Cup this weekend.
The Sky Blues take on Tottenham in the 4th round of the competition on Friday and are 8/13 favourites with bet365 for the game.
Erling Haaland return latest
Ahead of the game, Erling Haaland rejoined Manchester City training in Abu Dhabi. The Norweigan shared a photo from Monday’s training session on Instagram with the caption, “Oh how I’ve missed this!”
This led to speculation that Haaland would make his long-awaited return to action vs Tottenham on Friday.
However, it is now being reported that Manchester City are set to take a steady approach with Haaland’s return from injury and the striker is unlikely to feature when City play Tottenham this weekend..
Instead, it seems more likely that Haaland will make his City comeback in their subsequent fixture at home to Burnley on January 31.
As well as Haaland, there was encouraging news on the John Stones front this week as the stopper was able to take part in some elements of training. The only Man City player who has not taken part in training during the trip to Abu Dhabi is Manuel Akanji.
