Huddersfield to beat Sheffield Wednesday
It’s been a busy summer at Hillsborough – 22 players have departed since the end of last season as the Owls look to adapt to life in League One.
They face a Huddersfield team in the League Cup on Sunday that just managed to hang onto their spot in the Championship, but they too have seen several players leave over the summer.
The West Yorkshire side shaded the two clashes between this pair last season – taking four points from a possible six – and they look overpriced to nab a win in what should be a tasty clash.
Aberdeen to beat Dundee United
The Dons can kick-off their season with a victory over Dundee United at Pittodrie on Sunday afternoon.
Aberdeen won nine of their 19 home matches last season and are facing a United side that managed just seven wins on the road last term.
Fresh from sealing their spot in the next round of qualifying for the Europa Conference League, we expect Aberdeen to edge this one by the odd goal.
Hibs to beat Motherwell
Hibs travel to Fir Park on Sunday to take on a Motherwell side that lost 10 of 19 matches at home last season, including a 3-0 hammering to the Edinburgh side.
That was one of 11 away wins for Hibs and having enjoyed a solid performance in Europe on Thursday, we’re expecting them to end the week with a win over the Steelmen.
