Wednesday’s Acca Betting Tips:

Chelsea to beat Villarreal

Chelsea can get their season off and running with victory over Villarreal in the Super Cup in Belfast.

Seven of the last eight Super Cups have been won by the Champions League winners and Thomas Tuchel’s sides are taking on a Villarreal side that are winless in their preseason games – drawing three and losing three.

Leyton Orient to beat QPR

Leyton Orient started the season with an excellent draw away at Salford and they look primed for a cup upset over a QPR side that will be looking to keep their ammo dry for a tough league campaign.

QPR have exited the Carabao Cup at the hands of lower-league opposition for the past three seasons and Orient look overpriced tonight to add to that record.

Nottingham Forest to beat Bradford

Both these sides go into tonight’s match on poor runs but Forest should have enough class to edge out a Bradford side that are 42 league places below them.

The Bantams haven’t won a league game in eight, a run stretching back to April 10, and they lacked any creative spark against Exeter at the weekend in a dull 0-0 draw.

Coventry to beat Northampton

Coventry dug out an injury-time winner over Nottingham Forest to get their season off to a winning start and they look set to build on that against Northampton tonight.

Importantly, each of City’s last five competitive wins against Northampton have come in home matches, most recently in 2016, and back at the Ricoh this season, we expect another Sky Blues victory.
