Knockalong looks the pick of JP McManus's 3 runners at the weights and can take the Carrickmines Handicap Chase at 4.20 Leopardstown today.
Heading the weights is the classy Colbert Station under the guidance of AP McCoy, but having weakened dramatically when last seen over track and trip in January it could pay to side with another JP McManus entrant. Double Seven was in blistering form towards the end of 2013 winning five races on the trot, but having not been seen since October the preference is for Knockalong.
Third over course and distance when last seen, Knockalong could well have been first past the post but for a mistake at the last. Christy Roche's six-year-old certainly looks open to of improvement and is lightly weighted for today's 2m5f test giving odds of 6/1 with Boylesports plenty of appeal.
Daring Article could be a danger to the selection along with He'llberemembered, but the pair which battled for honours here last month both concede weight to Knockalong and that could be telling today.
