The Listed Royal Windsor Stakes at 7.20 Windsor this evening can go the way of lightly raced Out Of Bounds who returns after a break.
The Godolphin-owned 5-year-old can be backed at 9/2 with a number of firms including Ladbrokes and William Hill to land the spoils today and can take advantage from Ocean Tempest's 4 lb penalty for winning at Ascot a fortnight ago.
Out Of Bounds won twice in the USA before joining Saeed bin Suroor and putting in a good first run for his new yard over a mile at Meydan to finish runner-up in the Group 2 Al Maktoum Challenge. That run came after a year off the track and he made a winning start on the turf at Doncaster after another break in September, beating Saturday's Carey Group Buckhounds Stakes winner Gatewood by 1/2 a length. Out Of Bounds didn't run his race when last seen at York, but given his record of running well fresh can be backed with confidence today.
The aforementioned Ocean Tempest is the obvious danger if coping with the penalty, while John Gosden's consistent gelding Fencing could enter calculations if responding well to being fitted with a hood.
