There should be plenty of pace on offer in the David Chapman Memorial Handicap at 7.45 Ripon this evening, where Normal Equilibrium is tipped to come out on top.
The 4-year-old bay gelding was tipped at 9/2 on our Twitter feed earlier this morning and can currently be backed at 4/1 with a number of bookmakers including Coral who will refund losing stakes as a free bet if the selection si beaten by a head or less. Robert Cowell's charge returned to form when scoring in decisive fashion on good ground over today's trip at Lingfield in May and has ran well in defeat since. The selection was a runner-up at Pontefract last month and the expected strong pace today can help Normal Equilibrium to go one better and justify favouritism.
Captain Dunne has staged something of a revival this summer but doesn't look ideally drawn in the centre of the track this evening. Silvanus had Mutafaakir back in third when scoring at Catterick last month but there shouldn't be much between the pair on today's revised terms and they are likely to finish ahead of Megaleka again. Long Awaited is falling in the weights and should finish ahead of Inxile, but Normal Equilibrium can get the better of those two regular rivals today.
