Yarmouth stage an excellent card on Wednesday afternoon, the feature race being the £40k EBF At The Races John Musker Fillies' Stakes at 3.25 which provides a perfect opportunity for the promising Water Hole to get back to winning ways after finishing a creditable length and a half third to French challenger Fintry in a Sandown Group 3 contest on her most recent start following an unbeaten run of three for the John Gosden-trained daughter of Oasis Dream.
Available at a best price 3/1 with Ladbrokes, Coral and William Hill the mount of William Buick looked a class act when winning a Newmarket handicap on her fourth start and is sure to prove up to Listed class at the very least and can begin her climb to the top by taking the extended one mile two furlong event at the seaside course.
The three-year-old is unlikely to have things all her own way however as she faces 12 rivals many of which have plenty of potential including the Luca Cumani-trained pair of Kleo and Pleasant Valley. The former is surely better than her last run at Salisbury while the latter is on a hat-trick having won on her last two starts, but the biggest danger may come from the twice-raced Hadaatha from the St Leger-winning stable of Roger Varian.
Winner of a Newmarket maiden on her debut the Sea The Stars grey stepped up on her second outing finishing third in a Newbury Listed race won by subsequent Investec Oaks third Volume with another high-class filly Inchila back in fourth.
The mount of Paul Hanagan is due plenty of respect as is the Godolphin runner Albashara who looked an unlucky loser on her final start last season but both may find the Gosden filly too good on this occasion.
