Front-running sprinter Rise To Glory is tipped to make all in the Wallace Mcdowall Handicap at 2.40 Ayr on Thursday afternoon.
Odds of 8/1 with bet365 represent great value for the in-form 6-year-old and a drop back to today's 5 furlong trip should suit him to the ground. The Shaun Harris-trained horse regained the winning thread over today's trip at Wolverhampton last month and defied a 3lb rise in the weights to score again over an extra furlong at Hamilton a week later. The selection completed the hat-trick at Chepstow earlier this month and was headed only close home over 6 furlongs back on the All-Weather surface at Wolverhampton, leaving the impression that a shorter trip will see him bang there today.
Market leader Hazlerigg drops in grade and has been well tipped today having won over course and distance a year ago, but recent performances have been far from encouraging. Diamond Blue looks a consistent type and with a bit more luck in running could get involved at the business end, while Autumn Tide has course form and could come into the equation along with Jinky who tends to run well at Ayr.
Conditions underfoot are not a concern for Rise To Glory who won on good ground three starts back and the mount of Duran Fentiman is confidently tipped to continue the upward curve by making all today.
