Championship Weekend Acca – Pays 16/1

Blackburn to beat Bristol City

Bristol City have won just one of their last six games, and that came against struggling Barnsley. In comparison, Blackburn have won three of their last four games, with only Fulham proving to be too strong for them. City continue to leak goals at a rapid rate, conceding 10 in their last four games, and don’t appear to be getting any better.

Given the form that Blackburn are in, and the troubles that follow Bristol City, we are selecting Blackburn as our first team in this Saturday’s acca.

Birmingham to beat Hull

Hull are another team that have only beaten Barnsley in their last six games, and have fell into the relegation zone as a result of that poor run. Birmingham were beaten by Reading prior to the international break, but before that they had won three straight games, putting in good performances to seemingly turn around their season with a move up the table.

Hull work hard, and Birmingham will have to match that, but in terms of quality, there is a lot more of that on show in the Birmingham team, and for that reason, we fancy them to win this game on Saturday.

Stoke to beat Peterborough

Two very solid away performances before the international break were enough to give Stoke six points and move them up into the playoff positions. They have been strong at the start of the season, and challenging for promotion via the playoffs is now a realistic target. Peterborough find themselves on the cusp of the relegation zone, and could be in it very soon.

Given the strong form of Stoke recently, and the fact they are looking forward with genuine promotion hopes, we have to side with them on Saturday, as they look to continue moving up the table between now and the end of the year.

Swansea to beat Blackpool

Swansea didn’t start the season too well, but they have certainly improved recently. They have won six games all season, and four of those have come in their last six games, so they are certainly beginning to find their feet and move up the table. Blackpool are performing better than many expected them to this season, but consistency has been a small issue for them, and they come up against one of the better teams in the division here.

Blackpool have to be respected, but given what we have seen from Swansea recently, we think they will be too strong for the visitors and pick up another win.
