Ziga Boy heads the betting for the 3m 1f 110yds Class 3 Weatherbys VAT Services Silver Buck Handicap Chase at 2.15 Wincanton and should come on for his run at Exeter, but is too short at 11/4 with notable opponents in the field. Buck´s Bond is just 2lb higher than when landing this race last year and is entitled to respect following his solid reappearance effort at this venue in October for in-form trainer Paul Nicholls.
But at the current odds, it is well worth taking a chance on 11/1 shot Lily Waugh. A consistent performer over hurdles, the King's Theatre mare looks to have slipped under the radar after a solid effort when runner-up on her chase debut at this track a fortnight ago. The 7-year-old should relish the step up in trip today and having put in a solid run on similar conditions lately, the mount of Ryan Mahon rates as a value bet.
Silver Commander has to find something special returning from a year off to carry top-weight, while course and distance winner Water Wagtail wasn't competitive when last seen at Stratford and Lily Waugh is tipped to give those at the head of the market plenty to think about on the run in.
