Having already advided backing the Olly Stevens-trained Gamesome at 20-1 in the ante-post market for tomorrow's Wokingham Stakes we can expect a big run from the lightly-raced improving sprinter who looks to have been handed a favourable draw in stall five, but with 28 rivals to face it could be wise to have a second string to our bow and one horse who looks sure to go close at the 14-1 available with bet365 ( 5 places ) is the David O'Meara-trained Watchable, another drawn low in berth 1.
One of four runners for his shrewd handler the son of Pivotal has always been held in high regard by O'Meara whose belief that he has a Group performer on his hands was confirmed when the five-year-old lost out by only a head to Astaire in the Group 3 Abernant Stakes at Newmarket on his seasonal reapearance, and while slightly disappointing next time in the Palace House Stakes back at headquarters the form received a boost when the winner Goldream went on to victory in the Group 1 King's Stand Stakes earlier this week.
The step back up to six furlongs is sure to suit Watchable who looks capable of defying a mark of 108 and expect jockey Jamie Spencer to tuck the gelding in behind the leaders on the far side before unleashing his challenge inside the final furlong, hopefully successfully. Apart from Gamesome, and providing high numbers are not at a significant disadvantage, the mount of Ryan Moore, Tatlisu ( drawn 26 ), could provide the man who has dominated Royal Ascot 2015 with yet another winner.
