Tonight's Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris betting is headed by dual course winner Ampere who was last seen finishing a length clear of Cape Clear Island in the Group 2 Prix Hocquart in May, but with Aidan O'Brien's runner-up going backwards since then, the form of that run has taken a bit of a knock.
That remark most certainly does not apply to Storm The Stars who is a 7/2 chance with Betfred to take out the £265,767 prize this evening and the 3-year-old is a confident selection to land a Group 1 win at the third attempt.
William Haggas's charge was a clear third in the Derby behind Golden Horn before confirming that form when chasing Epsom runner-up Jack Hobbs home in the Irish classic, while notably extending his advantage over Giovanni Cantaletto. Should the mount of Pat Cosgrave run to that standard once more then it's difficult to see him being pegged back and the horse is expected to give his running once more.
Balios is feared most having made a winning step up to Group company at Royal Ascot, while Silverwave could perhaps do with some cut in the ground to get involved and Archangel Raphael needs to improve on recent displays to compete here.
