2/1 Boxing Acca Betting Tips:
Sunny Edwards by Decision or Technical Decision v Muhammad Waseem
Sunny Edwards may well be the IBF flyweight world champion, but by no means is the Briton a puncher.
“Showtime” has stopped just four of his 17 opponents to date, no registering a knockout since early 2019 against an overmatched Pedro Matos inside Wembley Stadium.
Muhammad Waseem is no pushover, but the Pakistan fighter should be out of his depth in Dubai trying to navigate the hand speed of Edwards.
Waseem has a loss to the man that Edwards picked up his world title against – South Africa’s Moruti Mthalane – and is expected to come up short at the highest level once again.
David Avanesyan by KO TKO or Disqualification v Oskari Metz
Russian-Armenian –fighting out of Newark, England – David Avanesyan can’t really catch a break in the welterweight division.
The European champion has gone 5-0 in big fights since the start of 2019 but can’t land that big fight at the top table of the 147lb division.
A defence of his European belt will have to do, for now, as he takes on the overmatched and underwhelming Oskari Metz.
Metz has fought a majority of his 15-0 career in Finland and is making his debut in the United Kingdom this Saturday evening under the promotion of Frank Warren.
Avanesyan has poleaxed his last five opponents in a combined 19 rounds of boxing and Metz will do well to see the second half of this championship contest.
Edgar Berlanga by KO TKO or Disqualification v Steve Rolls
18 wins and 16 KOs, Edgar Berlanga is one of the biggest punchers in boxing.
The super-middleweight has been frustrated to points victories in his last two outings, but beforehand ran 16 fights on the spin ending in stoppages.
The WBO’s NABO super-middleweight strap is on the line in New York this Saturday night and we fancy the 24-year-old “Chosen One” to return to his brutal best.
O’Shaquie Foster to beat Muhammadkhuja Yaqubov
We’ve got a WBC super-featherweight world title eliminator in Dubai this weekend as O’Shaquie Foster looks to continue his rise up the rankings.
The American is 18-2 and has eight unbeaten in the competitive super-featherweight division.
Muhammadkhuja Yaqubov is unbeaten across his 18 outings but has yet to be truly tested – the 26-year-old southpaw is yet to fight outside of Russia.
We think Foster’s edge in experience is enough to get him over the line here on the cards.
Steve Rolls is known for playing opponent to Gennady Golovkin in 2019, getting ironed out inside four rounds, and has since won two fights against opposition with 18 combined losses.
The Canadian only has that one loss on his record, but Berlanga is at the very top of the 168lb-division and will be a handful to control.
