Soaring Glory – 2.25pm Newbury

Soaring Glory looks a horse who is still open to plenty of improvement and he should have too much class for this field.

He strolled home in the Betfair Hurdle over this course and distance in February and he kicked-off this campaign with victory in a Listed contest at Ascot at the end of last month.

Sceau Royal – 3.15pm Newcastle

It’s a hot-looking renewal for the Fighting Fifth but with Epatante and Monmiral with questions to answer, the value bet looks Sceau Royal.

He’s impressed in two runs so far this season, winning at Kempton and landing the Elite Hurdle at Wincanton last time out, and with those runs under his belt, he has a fitness edge that he could well exploit.
