Sunday’s Acca Betting Tips:

Jose De Sousa to beat Mensur Suljovic

Jose De Sousa averaged 96 in his opening 5-1 victory in Group F, and the reigning Grand Slam king is unlikely to buckle under the monotonous pace of Mensur Suljovic.

The “Gentle” Austrian misses too many doubles to remain unscathed on his own throw against De Sousa.

Sure, his 100 average on day one was impressive, but Suljovic is unpredictable at best.

We can’t see anything but a De Sousa win in this race to five.

Michael Smith to beat Gary Anderson

“Bully Boy” is dangerous over such a short race.

Smith can often come unstuck over longer formats, but as he showed in a 5-4 win over Barney, he’s able to mix it with the very best in a race to five.

Anderson averaged just 82 in beating an under par Joe Davis and may be in for a Sunday night shock against his old pal.

Joe Cullen to beat Michael van Gerwen

Michael van Gerwen is very beatable in 2021.

Okay, the Dutchman swept aside Lisa Ashton 5-0 with a 106 average on day one, but this result is a little bit of a red herring.

Joe Cullen has beaten MVG a number of times and can mix it with the best over the shorter format.

Cullen is a future major titlist – you can hold me to that – and a statement win over “Mighty Mike” would be just the tonic on Sunday.
