Tip: Arsenal and over 2.5 goals @ 9/10 with Bet Stars
Coming off the back of a 6-0 Champions League win over Ludogorets, Arsenal fear nobody and are ready to rip Middlesbrough apart. Unbeaten since their opening day defeat to Liverpool, the Gunners are on a seven game winning streak in all competitions. On top of that, the football that they’re playing is breathtaking. Alexis Sanchez’s lob against the Bulgarian champs being a goal destined to spend eternity on a highlights reel. It’s not only minnows they’re battering though.
Chelsea are the most notable side to take a beating from Arsene Wenger’s gang on this run. The Blues were torn to pieces in a stunning 3-0 win. The sense of belief radiating from each and every player in an Arsenal shirt is unmistakable. They believe it’s their season. While we’ve heard this before, it’s usually in the business end of the season when they stumble.
So, what we’re saying is, drink up. Enjoy it. The good times for Gooners are set to continue beyond Saturday’s match. Boro are winless since beating Sunderland in August, a run of six games that has seen them pick up just two points. They can’t hope for anything here.
Granit Xhaka is suspended for this game and was understandably dropped by Wenger for the midweek European fixture. Francis Coquelin slotted in and it didn’t remotely disturb the momentum of his teammates. The team selection has been pretty consistent.
The Ox could keep his place after scoring against the Bulgarians but we would imagine Iwobi will be brought back into the fold. Gibbs is likely to be dropped for Monreal. Ramsey and Giroud are both nearly fully fit and are likely to come off the bench for minutes in this one.
Predicted Arsenal team: Cech, Monreal, Koscielny, Mustafi, Bellerin, Cazorla, Coquelin, Ozil, Iwobi, Sanchez, Walcott
Predicted Middlesbrough team: Valdes, Barragan, Bernardo, Gibson, Friend, de Roon, Forshaw, Stuani, Ramirez, Downing, Negredo
