Back Manchester United to win to nil at relegation-bound Sunderland

Sunderland boss David Moyes, Sir Alex Ferguson’s beleaguered successor at Old Trafford, welcomes Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United to the Stadium of Light as doomed Sunderland play for Premier League pride.

Despite hugely disappointing home draws against WBA and Everton, games United were expected to win, Mou’s men are virtually unbackable at obscene odds of 4-11 for an away win at the bottom of the table side. The Black Cats come into the game on the back of woeful losses on their travels at Watford and Leicester, not troubling the scorers once again, rooted to the bottom of the table and looking like the end of the season can’t come soon enough.

Despite injury worries, United will very likely win, but we go looking for value elsewhere and under 2.5 goals 121-100 with Marathon looks a good shout. United do possess the worst scoring record of any team in the top seven with only 43 goals, facing shot-shy Sunderland with the second worst record in the league with 24 goals, behind only their fellow relegation strugglers and North East neighbours Middlesbrough.

Mourinho side currently sit in sixth spot but still with a decent shot at top four place, possessing a game in hand on their noisy-neighbours City and two games on bitter rivals Liverpool, who are bound to struggle to pick up a huge amount of wins without the injured Sadio Mane. So this is a must win game for United to get their top four bid on track and I expect them to do this pretty comfortably against a Sunderland side seemingly lacking spirit.

There’s little value backing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score at any time at a best 5-6 with 188 bet, with shock AAT Sunderland scorers 3-1 Jermaine Defoe. While Victor Anichebe could return from injury and is 6-1 to score AAT both with 188 sport for a fun bet at small stakes.

Having said that, United to win to NIL 6-5 again with Marathon looks a decent proposition, with 1-0 2-0 United wins the most obvious scorelines as two powder-puff attacks face off.
