Back Millicent to Win Some Silver at Plumpton on Monday

Back the 6-year old mare to begin winning streak
At 5/2 a £10 bet would return £35

2.10 Plumpton – MILLICENT SILVER @5/2 with Coral

MILLICENT SILVER didn’t make easy work of it by any stretch of the imagine, but the 6-year old mare stayed on gamely to get on top of her rivals over 3m at Uttoxeter a month ago. Scoring from a mark of 105, she has gone up 8lb now, which won’t be easy to win from if she doesn’t hold her form and come on from that run, but it could just be the tonic she needs to get on a winning streak.

Streets Of Promise and Princess Tara hold her on form from last season, but the Nigel Twiston-Davies trained horse has improved since then. Son Sam is free to get the leg up here and she is taken to make most of these conditions over the extra two furlongs in the 2.10pm handicap hurdle.

In the 2.40pm handicap hurdle over the far easier 2m trip, ZERO VISIBILITY is an interesting prospect carrying 10st 5lb in such soft ground, with Adam Wedge booked to do the steering. This 8-year old has precious few miles on the clock with this only being his 12th career start, but with the best will in the world, he is no world beater. But he won’t need to be to go well today and could prove to be the value choice here. He managed to notch up two wins last season, and accrued a few fair placed efforts, including one here at Plumpton.

Gary Moore farms races here and his Dude Alert rates as the chief danger, along with the interesting Jim Best trained My Lord. Both of those horses are likely to be a bit shorter in the betting, but Zero Visibility has the ability to get in among it at the business end if fresh and well after a break.

Charlie Longsdon’s LEITH HILL LEGASI has gone up 7lb for winning on her seasonal debut earlier this month at Chepstow, but is presented with another good opportunity in the 3.10 handicap chase, with Sam Twiston-Davies doing the steering once again. She is less likely to have things all her own way here with one or two others who like to front run, but she is young, in-form and could just prove to be a little too hot for her rivals at the moment.
