Benfica To Beat Sevilla

Football legend Matt Le Tissier has betting tips for tonight’s Sevilla v Benfica Europa League Final, live on ITV4 at 19:45.

Sevilla are targeting their third win in this competition in under 10 years and lifting the trophy tonight would move them level with Inter Milan, Juventus and Liverpool who are tied for the most titles. Unai Emery’s side can count themselves as fortunate to be in the final this time though as Stéphane Mbia’s last gasp equaliser away to Valencia in the semi-final sent them through on away goals when they were staring at defeat.

Benfica fell short at the final hurdle in every major competition they contested last season including when losing 1-2 to Chelsea in the Europa League final at Amsterdam Arena 12 months ago. With the league already wrapped up, the Eagles will be aiming to go one better in Turin and win their first European trophy in over 50 years.

Matt Le Tissier Tips: “Sevilla have rode their luck a little to get this far, while Benfica have been far more convincing along the way. I fancy the Lisbon side to end their long wait for a European trophy tonight and recommend backing them to win the match at best odds 7/5 with Betvictor. The same firm are quoting a top price of 8/11 Benfica to lift the trophy and if pushed for a Correct Score prediction my bet would be 2-0 to Benfica, also top price 11/1 with Betvictor.”

For Sevilla, Vitolo is a doubt with a hamstring injury, while both Cheryshev and Cristoforo remain sidelined. Rakitic, Mbia, Bacca and Gameiro were all rested at the weekend, with the latter duo vying for the starting spot up front.
André Gomes is back available for Benfica following a suspension but Enzo Perez and Lazar Markovic will both miss the final having been sent off against Juventus last time out. Silvio and Fejsa remaining absent through injury, while Salvio is also suspended for picking up his third yellow card of the competition in the semi-final.
