Blues To Finish Basel Off At The Bridge

Football Legend Matt Le Tissier has an 8/1 tip for tonight's Europa League Semi-Final second leg clash between Chelsea and FC Basel at Stamford Bridge.

Football Legend Matt Le Tissier has an 8/1 tip for tonight’s Europa League Semi-Final second leg clash between Chelsea and FC Basel at Stamford Bridge.

Rafa Benitez can guide Chelsea to their second European final in as many seasons if they see off FC Basel tonight and it’s the blues who have the advantage following their solid display in Switzerland last week. Chelsea took an early lead through Victor Moses and had Basel at arm’s length throughout much of the game until the Swiss side were awarded a controversial penalty in the dying moments. With the spot-kick dispatched, Chelsea looked like continuing their recent trend of poor results on the road until David Luiz fired in a free-kick with the very last touch of the game.

The late drama at St Jakob’s Park actually gives Chelsea a better chance of progressing as they now have two away goals to protect, meaning Basel must score at least twice to stand any chance of qualifying. Chelsea have won six straight games at Stamford Bridge and look to have momentum on their side following their disciplined 2-0 win over Swansea on Sunday.

Football legend Matt Le Tissier tips Chelsea to beat FC Basel in the Europa League tonightMatt Le Tissier Tips: “Basel have had a good run in the Europa League, but Chelsea’s superior quality was evident last week and they were unlucky to concede after a soft penalty decision. Basel will give it a good go, but the blues should make the final and I’d take the best odds of 8/1 with Betvictor for a 2-1 Chelsea win in the Correct Score market”

FC Basel are experiencing a severe dip in form with their last success coming four games ago in a narrow 0-1 win away at FC Sion. Following the defeat to Chelsea last week they put in an uninspiring performance in front of their home fans and went down 0-3 to lowly Luzern.

Ashley Cole is suspended for the game while Demba Ba is ineligable and four Chelsea players are one card away from a suspension which would rule them out of the final at the Amsterdam Arena on May 15th.
