Three are through, three are out and two (Nathan Aspinall and Jonny Clayton) arrive in Sheffield fighting for the last remaining playoff spot.
It’s likely to go down to the wire between these two players, but a big statement could be made on Thursday night inside the Utilita Arena.
Let’s take a look at this week’s 18/1 Acca:
Nathan Aspinall to beat Gerwyn Price
It’s a case of needs must for the “Asp”.
He is hunting down the fourth spot in the league this week and he’s got a tricky opening hurdle to navigate.
Price may be top of the standings but was booted out at the quarter-final stage last week.
Add to that Aspinall’s recent 4-2 head-to-head lead over the Welshman and we are backing Aspinall to get the win he needs.
Chris Dobey to beat Peter Wright
Neither man can reach the London playoffs and neither man is playing with too much confidence on the Premier League circuit at the moment.
Between them, they have reached just three finals in 14 weeks, underlining why they see themselves cut adrift in the bottom three.
Dobey won their last Premier League meeting 6-2 and we see a repeat here.
Michael Smith to beat Michael van Gerwen
The world champion and world number one has won two Premier League nights back-to-back and looks pretty unstoppable as he eyes top spot in the league.
MVG hasn’t won a night since he swept nights 4, 5 and 6 and Smith looks like he holds the cards in this head-to-head. Smith should be able to edge over the finish line here.
Jonny Clayton to beat Dimitri van den Bergh
Clayton needs a win here to keep his top four hopes alive, and he couldn’t really ask for a better opponent in the quarter-final.
Van den Bergh has only got past the semi-finals once this season (in week 3) and alongside Peter Wright is the only player without a night win.
Clayton has only lost two of his last six quarter-finals and his checkout percentage (a league high of 44%) should see him get the W.
