Deportivo vs Malaga preview, betting tips and prediction
April 05, 2018
It’s a relegation dogfight in La Liga this weekend. A real six-pointer as Deportivo La Coruna host Malaga. Both have a massive task in staying up but can one potentially use the other as a body to climb over in a bid to reach safety. Malaga are 11 points adrift, Deportivo are eight.
Clarence Seedorf is the current boss of Deportivo. The AC Milan legend said that fans would be ‘scoring an own goal’ if they didn’t believe that the side could stay up. But he’s given them no reason to believe so since being appointed earlier in the year, failing to win in nine matches. However, their recent home form isn’t entirely abysmal, drawing three successive games.
Malaga come into this game on the crest of a wave after a rare win. Villarreal were the surprise prey captured by the low-scoring rock-bottom outfit. Luckily for Malaga, they don’t need to score many because they don’t concede a lot despite their dire position. They’ve picked up back-to-back clean sheets and could make it three in a row at the weekend.
