England’s Big Test? Where To Put Your Money Against Germany And Brazil
November 09, 2017
England Betting Tips
The upcoming internationals between England and Germany and Brazil were meant to be the waters in which Gareth Southgate could test his squad ahead of next year’s World Cup.
Instead, they’ve become somewhat of a farce. Six players have dropped out of the squad, including Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Jordan Henderson. It’s become more of a task of seeing how much depth they have. But that doesn’t mean it’s not worth a punt or two.
Taking on the Germans
Germany are currently favourites to win the World Cup, so naturally go into the tie as firm favourites at 11/10 with most bookmakers.
It’ll be a depleted side for England with the likes of Jack Cork and Tammy Abraham potentially debuting for the Three Lions.
The latter has been in fine form for Swansea do looks good at 9/5 to score anytime. An England win does looks slightly more ominous however and you’d have to be brave to back their 12/5.

If the England team is anything to go by, the squad seems desperate not to get injured in a key part of the domestic season, so if Germany don’t want to take chances, a goalless draw could be good value at 10/1.
On the other hand, if you’re expecting the Three Lions to succumb, a Timo Werner brace at 13/2 looks nice while Leroy Sane’s fine form for Manchester City makes a first goal from him at 7/1 at Coral a tasty payout.

A Samba Evening at Wembley?
It’s always exciting to see a Brazil side play and Wembley will be rocking as Neymar and co. take on England on Tuesday 14 November.
The previous World Cup hosts breezes through qualifying and are 7/1 to win the tournament in Russia.
Against England you’ll find them at 10/11 with Betfair, while England’s odds are slightly bleaker at 13/5.
Some of the Young Lions will be chomping at the bit to play the international superstars however. Remember Oxlade-Chamberlain a few years back?
We’d fancy England to grab a goal here and if there’s one man who likes to mix it up with the big boys it’s Marcus Rashford.
The young United star is fearless and we’ll be backing Rashford to score against Brazil should he start.
Naturally, all eyes will be on Neymar and the world’s most expensive player is obviously favourite to score against England.
You can get some enhanced odds on Neymar to score and Brazil win bets, while it’s well worth a free bet or two if you’re looking to make a bit of cash.
We’d take a punt on 3-1 to Brazil, paying out at 14/1 next week. The score line will be less tight than Germany and you’d expect Southgate to make plenty of changes on the demand of Premier League bosses. It’s going to be a long night for England players at Wembley, but they’ll no doubt be entertainment!
