Tomas Soucek to be booked
Thomas Soucek’s two yellow cards this season have come at home against sides who are “better” than West Ham – on paper at least – and the Czech midfielder may have to “take one for the team” at some point on Thursday night.
For a defensive midfielder, Soucek is a very clean and talented player, but under the lights in such a big European match, pressure is surely going to boil.
The spotlight will be on himself and Declan Rice trying to control the middle of the park.
