Follow The Money On Bayern To Beat Arsenal
Premier League legend Matt Le Tissier recommends following the money that is going on Bayern Munich ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash against Arsenal.
Bookmakers have had a rethink of their odds for the first leg at the Emirates with all odds against prices trimmed in to even money or less for Bayern while Arsenal have drifted out to 3/1. The Germans won their fifth league game on the bounce at Wolfsburg on Friday and look set to bring back £34 million summer signing Javi Martinez after the midfielder sat out the 2-0 win with a toe injury.
Matt Le Tissier tips: “The bookies aren’t mugs and they’ve shortened up Bayern Munich for their clash against Arsenal tonight after the latter’s latest setback in the FA Cup. The Gunners are going to have to improve massively tonight and, although they upset the odds a couple of years ago against Barcelona at the Emirates, they had Robin van Persie back then. The away win is still a backable even money with Paddy Power and looking at the way Bayern have destroyed the opposition in the Bundesliga this term, that looks generous. Mario Mandzukic has six goals in his last four games and is joint-top in the Bundesliga scoring charts. The Croat is a fair looking 6/4 with Ladbrokes to net anytime.”
Arsene Wenger received a slap in the face for leaving seven players out of Saturday’s FA Cup fifth round tie against Blackburn. The Gunners couldn’t make their superiority count and were knocked out in front of home fans by a second half goal from Colin Kazim-Richards.
