There is a full Ligue 1 schedule taking place this Wednesday and now, we are going to highlight four of the very best bets.
Le Foot Of Le Table
The first of our four clashes takes us to Montpellier, as they play host to Ajaccio and although no outfit wants to be propping up the league ladder early on, that is what has unfortunately been afforded to the visitors.
Because with four rounds of this Ligue 1 season already in the history books, Ajaccio have only managed to earn one point from the first twelve on offer and they have also lost each of their last two league outings.
Which is something that will be music to the ears of hosts Montpellier and although they have had a mixed start to the campaign, Olivier Dall’Oglio’s men are certainly one of the more entertaining sides in the division.
Especially as they are averaging 3.25 goals a game thus far and they could be on hand for another three or more on Wednesday. However, I have plumped solely for a home win to get the ball rolling and the current odds for this are 11/10.
Early Contender One
Next up we go to the Stade Velodrome, as Marseille play host to Clermont Foot and with Igor Tudor’s men only off the top of the table due to goal difference, the French football fraternity will be hoping that the title race does not become a foregone conclusion early on.
Something that can only happen if Marseille pick up routine and expected victories in front of their own fans and especially when you consider that this same support can be rather unforgiving at the best of times.
While that support will be ready to cheer their team on against Clermont Foot on Wednesday and with the visitors having a decent start to the campaign, they will not be ready to roll out the red carpet.
However, Marseille’s only blip has been the 1-1 draw with Brest in week two and with a pair of wins being recorded since, I think three points should be the order of the day. An order which is currently priced at odds of 4/11.

Early Contender Two
While thanks to PSG’s rather surprise draw at home to Monaco last weekend, it has created an early three-way tussle at the top and with Marseille already mentioned as in the mix, our focus now shifts over to Lens.
Because like both PSG and Marseille, Franck Haise’s men have also picked up 10 points from the first 12 that are on offer and were it not for a dour draw at AC Ajaccio in week two, they would be currently top of the Ligue 1 standings.
However, their start to their campaign has still been nothing short of impressive and they will look to build on their current head of steam when they play host to Lorient – although they themselves have been no slouches either.
With third playing host to fifth this could be a rather tight encounter and especially as the visitors are only conceding an average of a goal a game thus far. However, I do believe that the hosts will come out on top and therefore I am backing them at odds of 8/15.
Basement Clash
Finally, we are off to Angers and with both they and Reims still searching for a first league win of the season, both sides already find themselves in the relegation zone. While it is a zone that will eventually swallow up four teams instead of three.
Going into this clash, Angers and Reims have only managed to earn two points from the first 12 on offer. Angers got off to a solid if not spectacular start by drawing their first two encounters, but subsequently lost the following pair.
While in terms of Reims, their miniscule points haul has come via the opposite direction and after losing both their first two matches of the season, they have since managed to earn consecutive league draws.
Which means with both teams on two points and yet to win a league game, there is every chance that Angers and Reims will cancel each other out and therefore, I have opted for the draw at odds of 23/10.
While if you put all four combinations together, Bet365 are prepared to offer you 13.48/1 in return.
