Saturday scorers, anyone?
I have scurried around the markets, and I have plumped on this delicious three-timer that pays out at 29/1 with Unibet.
- Kevin De Bruyne (MANCHESTER CITY v Fulham)
- Rodrigo (LEEDS v Bournemouth)
- Harvey Barnes (Everton v LEICESTER)
Kevin De Bruyne (MANCHESTER CITY v Fulham) - 3pm
Ordinarily, we wouldn’t have hesitated to put Erling Haaland at the top of our anytime scorer picks, such has been his prolific form this campaign. However, he’s a major doubt for the visit of Fulham, and he has sat out the last two games with a foot injury.
Instead, we have turned our attention to the Norwegian’s team-mate Kevin De Bruyne. Inevitably, the Belgian digs City out of some holes, and he can win games single-handedly.
He can pop up with a moment of magic at any given moment, as proved in City’s 1-0 win over Leicester when he caressed a beautiful free-kick into the top corner of the net.
Of his 60 career Premier League goals, 25 of those have come from outside the box. And with two goals in his last two Premier League outings, he could make that three in three against Fulham.
Rodrigo (LEEDS v Bournemouth) - 3pm
The wind will be in Leeds’ sails after their stunning 2-1 win over Liverpool last weekend. Rodrigo was a threat throughout, and he netted the opener after just four minutes on the clock at Anfield.
Rodrigo has become the go-to player for Leeds this season, notching up six in the Premier League, and with Leeds in the ascendancy, Rodrigo could well hit the target.
When you consider Bournemouth are winless in their past three league games, conceding six in the process, Rodrigo will fancy his chances of adding to his tally.
Harvey Barnes (Everton v LEICESTER) - 5.30pm
Leicester round off Saturday’s action with a trip to Goodison Park to take on Everton. Although the Foxes may have counted themselves unfortunate not to get anything out of the game against City last weekend, they may bounce back this weekend, and Harvey Barnes could play a starring role.
The English winger has quick feet and an innate ability to score some superb solo goals. With two goals in his past three appearances, Barnes will relish trying to unlock a Toffees defence that has kept two clean sheets in their past two outings.
