97/1 Longshot Acca for Saturday 3rd September

He missed by one last week, can Capps land a big one this Saturday?

I’m still picking up the remaining shards of my heart after Mansfield let us down on last Saturday’s 150/1 monster acca.

Let’s see if we can get over it with today’s 97/1 five-fold with William Hill.

  • Nottingham Forest to beat Bournemouth
  • Preston to beat Birmingham to nil
  • QPR to beat Swansea and both teams to score
  • Derby to beat Plymouth
  • Salford to beat Crawley

Nottingham Forest to beat Bournemouth

Forest may have lost back-to-back games with an aggregate score of 8-0, but on home soil I think they’ll just have too much for a Bournemouth side that look particularly blunt up front.

The hosts’ only two defeats at the City Ground in 2022 have come against Spurs and Liverpool, while the Cherries have scored 0 and conceded 13 in their opening two away games.

Preston to beat Birmingham to nil

Preston’s quite remarkable start to the season continued on Wednesday night with a 1-0 win over Coventry, meaning they’re yet to concede a goal in their opening seven Championship games.

And they’ll fancy their chances of another shutout against a Birmingham side that are yet to score away from home this season.

QPR to beat Swansea and Both Teams to Score

After a slow start, QPR have really got going with back-to-back wins over high-flying Watford and Hull, while Swansea are hovering just above the bottom three thanks to just one win in seven.

And the Hoops have won on their last two visits to south Wales, so the stars align nicely for a pricey looking away victory with some goals thrown in.

Derby to beat Plymouth

The Rams continue to be a force at home and have won all of their opening three games in their backyard in all competitions.

Plymouth, meanwhile, have lost two of their three games on the road in League One – including a 5-1 hammering from Charlton – and have never won at Pride Park.

Salford to beat Crawley

Salford have started strongly in League Two and have won all four of their home games in all competitions this season.

Next they host a winless Crawley side that tend to struggle on their travels, winning only one of their last ten away games.
