Having overcome a recent wobble, the Gunners are starting to find form at a crucial moment, even though they weren’t at their fluent best in a 1-0 win away to Leicester last weekend.
They are in control of the title race as things stand, and victory over Everton would re-open a five-point cushion at the top of the table.
Everton’s initial bounce under the tutelage of Sean Dyche has evaporated, and they are in desperate need of points as they seek to beat the drop.
A 2-0 reverse at the hands of Aston Villa leaves them in 18th spot, and the lack of goals (17) this term will be a major concern.
But will Arsenal come unstuck against the Toffees? We have scoured the markets and singled out a couple of tips for you to add to your betting slips.
Arsenal to enjoy home comforts
In recent weeks, there have been serious questions asked of Arsenal. Having had a mini blip earlier in February, they have bounced back, and show the mettle that suggests they could lift their first league title since 2004.
The resurgence of Gabriel Martinelli has also been a boost, and the Brazilian netted the 200th league goal of the Mikel Arteta regime against Leicester, which is a significant landmark.
Leandro Trossard has also been making his mark. Deployed in a more central role against the Foxes, he produced an eye-catching display, and one that should have rewarded him with a goal.
Everton, on the other hand, have work to do to avoid going through the trap door, and they have lacked cutting edge up front — Neal Maupay fired a blank, and he hasn’t scored in his past 28 top-flight matches.
Although Everton came out on top in the corresponding fixture a few weeks ago at Goodison Park, it is hard to see them replicating that display at the Emirates.
Arsenal shouldn’t have too much worry, and for my first pick, I have a predilection that Arteta’s men will run out 3-0 winners, a price that is available at 8/1 with bet365.
Gabriel Martinelli to pop up with a double
While it was thought that Gabriel Jesus’ injury would impact Arsenal’s firepower, the strikers have been picking up the slack.
Trossard’s arrival has given them impetus, but Martinelli, who was recently given a breather against Villa, looks rejuvenated and hungry.
He has been picking up decent pockets of space of late, and his finish against the Foxes was smart, even though he winced in pain after tucking a sliding effort into the net.
Martinelli is the Gunners’ joint-top scorer with nine goals to his name in the league this term, and he has found the target in his past two outings.
Everton could struggle to contain him, and Martinelli could well slam home a double, and he is available at 11/1 with William Hill to do so.
