Arsenal v Nottingham Forest Match Preview & Betting Tips

Arsenal need to reset ahead of Forest visit

After a terrific start to the campaign, Arsenal will have been disconcerted by their last two performances and they will look to get back on track when they entertain Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Following a draw in their last Premier League outing away to Southampton, the Gunners turned in a tired-looking display in their 2-0 reverse against PSV Eindhoven.

This prompted Mikel Arteta to suggest that Arsenal need a “reset” and they know that a victory would see them leapfrog Manchester City back into top spot should Pep Guardiola’s men see off Leicester.

Forest, meanwhile, will have been buoyed by the way they stuck gamely to their task before stunning Liverpool 1-0 last weekend.

Arsenal remain without Oleksandr Zinchenko and Emile Smith-Rowe, but they have a clean bill of health otherwise, and Forest, who will be making their first trip to the Emirates, will look to claim another major scalp.

And ahead of kick-off, we have put you in the picture by providing a full preview, as well as sharing a couple of tips.

Arsenal to record handsome win

For large chunks of the campaign, Arsenal have rarely been found wanting, and with a big week ahead, Arteta’s troops will be desperate to bounce back.

Against PSV, the Gunners were completely outclassed and they expended a lot of energy chasing the ball. The margin of victory would have been much bigger for the Dutch giants had they not had three goals ruled out.

Forest, meanwhile, have planted the seeds of recovery and Steve Cooper’s side will want to give it a right good go at the Emirates, but they could be in for a tough afternoon.

This will be the first time in over 20 years that Arsenal will have faced Forest in the Premier League, but they should come out on top comfortably.

They have netted three or more in three of their past five league outings, and they could put Forest to the sword.

I like the look of the Correct Score section and Arsenal to chalk up a 3-0 victory which is available at 13/2 with William Hill.

Granit Xhaka to break the deadlock

Over the past 12 months, Granit Xhaka’s redemption has been complete. Having previously infuriated the Gunners faithful with his ill discipline, the Swiss midfielder has turned things around, and he is now widely adored.

You are always guaranteed a belting strike from Xhaka, and he has produced his best return in Arsenal colours with three league goals this term.

He has been on fire, netting twice in his past three games in all competitions, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise to see him find the target this weekend.

I’m backing Xhaka to open the scoring, and he is trading at 12/1 to do so with Unibet.
